Using a 2¼” x 2¼” x 9” piece of walnut to make a forearm for a Winchester 1897 shotgun, I was faced with the problem of drilling a long, straight hole through the wood blank for the action slide.
Occasionally a Remington 870 action tube nut just doesn't want to turn. When I see the whole tube starting to turn in the wood, I use this tool.
The Stevens Tip-ups were first introduced in the 1870’s and discontinued in 1895. Parts are virtually non-existent for these.
